EICKHORN.A very rare example of a model 1921 German Weimar Republic Kreigsmarine dagger measuring 16 1/4" overall with a etched blade marked " ORIGINAL (logo) EICKHORN SOLINGEN ". Etching includes nautical and decorative motifs. Gilded brass crossguard with central anchor in rectangle. Gilded brass pommel with foliate decoration. Black wire wrapped grip. Gilded brass scabbard with lightning bolt motif. CONDITION: blade retains original factory polish and the etching is clear and crisp. Hilt shows light wear with much of the gilded finish remaining. Grip is undamaged. Scabbard retains areas of its original gilded finish in protected areas. (02-24958/BF). NON-GUN. $1,200-1,800.
