Lot 1590 WWII GERMAN TENO LEADERS DAGGER BY EICKHORN
A very rare and superb example of a WWII German Technische Nothilfe leader's dagger measuring 17" overall with an 11" plain blade marked on the reverse " (teno eagle) GES. GESCH. ORIGINAL (logo) Eickhorn SOLINGEN ". The beautiful blade is also etched with the serial number 3573 that is also stamped on the throat of the scabbard. The black leather blade buffer is still intact. Finely articulated TENO eagle crossguard showing an eagle clutching a Party symbol and the TENO cogwheel. Disk pommel features 3 raised rings encircling a cogwheel. At the base of the deep yellow to light orange trolon grip is the ferrule that compliments the pommel design. A correctly tied knot is attached to the hilt. Plated ferrous scabbard with pebbled finish and lineal decorated suspension loops. CONDITION: blade shows substantial original factory polish with barely a trace of scabbard wear. The hilt shows light overall wear as expected. Scabbard shows light wear with a few small patches of lost plating. (02-24987/BF). NON-GUN. $5,000-8,000.
