SCABBARDS. Lot consists of 6 Swedish M1896 Mauser bayonets, including: 1) M1896 Mauser bayonet mfg. by Eskilstuna Jernmanufactur AB. Right side of the ricasso is marked "EJ (ANCHOR) AB", with a crown over "137" on the left. Left side of guard exhibits a "I/ 21" unit mark. 1-piece knurled steel tube handle and guard exhibit a blue finish. Complete with a non-matching (but same mfg.) blued steel scabbard. Scabbard is marked "L/114", followed by "No 61b" above "No 363". CONDITION: blade shows scattered spots/patches of light to mild pitting, with several nicks to the edge. Blued parts show areas of wear fading to gray patina and some light surface oxidation. 2) M1896 Mauser bayonet mfg. by Eskilstuna Jernmanufactur AB. Right side of the ricasso is marked "EJ (ANCHOR) AB", with a crown over "537" marked on the right. Knurled steel tube handle and crossguard exhibit a blue finish. Complete with a non-matching "E.A.B." (E.A. Bergs fabriksaktiebolag) scabbard, unit marked "I.10". CONDITION: blade is near excellent, retaining a bright appearance, with a few spots of light pitting on the left side. Blued parts show areas of wear fading to gray patina. 3) M1896 Mauser bayonet mfg. by E.A. Bergs Fabriksaktiebolag. Right side of the ricasso is marked ""E.A.B.", with a crown over "775" on the left. Crossguard is marked with an "EJ (ANCHOR) AB) mfg. mark on the top flat, with a slash over "K.4" followed by "No. 841" on the left. Knurled steel tube handle and crossguard exhibit a blue finish. Complete with non-matching Eskiltuna Jernmanufaktur AB mfg. scabbard, unit marked "1/ LK1", followed by "No 552". CONDITION: blade is near excellent, exhibiting a bright appearance with some spots of light pitting. Blued parts show areas of wear fading to gray patina. 4) M1896 Mauser bayonet mfg. by Eskilstuna Jernmanufactur AB. Right side of the ricasso is marked "EJ (ANCHOR) AB" above "932", with a crown marked on the right. Crossguard is unit marked "L/ I13", followed by "No 59a" and "No 358". Knurled steel tube and crossguard exhibit a blue finish. Complete with blued steel scabbard unit marked "6/ 124", followed by "No 309". CONDITION: blade retains a mostly bright appearance, showing 2 patches of discoloration on either side. Blued parts show wear fading to gray patina. 5) M1896 Mauser bayonet mfg. by Carl Gustafs Stads Gevarsfaktori. Right side of the ricasso is marked Crown/C, with a crown over 490 on the left. Left side of crossguard is unit marked with a slash over "I27". Knurled steel tube handle and crossguard exhibit a blue finish. Complete with an unnumbered steel scabbard by "E.A.B.". CONDITION: blade retains a bright appearance, showing some scattered spots of light pitting. Blued parts show areas of wear fading to a gray patina. Scabbard has faded to a gray patina, with light to mild pitting overall. 6) M1896 Mauser bayonet mfg. by Carl Gustafs Stads Gevarsfaktori. Right side of the ricasso is marked Crown/C, with a crown over "261" on the left. Knurled steel tube handle and crossguard exhibit a blue finish. Complete with non-matching blued steel scabbard marked with a Crown/C. CONDITION: blade retains a mostly bright appearance, showing scattered areas of discoloration and some light pitting. Blade edge shows several nicks. Blued parts show areas of wear fading to gray patina. (02-246327-4/MLW). NON-GUN. $300-500.
