Lot 1581 LOT OF MOSTLY GERMAN BAYONETS & EDGED WEAPONS.

This lot consists of the following: 1) Billnas marked trench shovel. Wooden handle. CONDITION: metal is an overall gray oxidized patina with flaking, some pitting & areas turning silver. 2) German 98/05 Butcher Blade bayonet. 1916 dated blued blade with "DEUTSCHE MASCHINENFABRIK A-G DUISBURG" makers marking. Grooved handles. Steel scabbard & leather frog. CONDITION: blade shows scattered edge wear & oxidation. Other metal parts of bayonet are a gray patina with dings, oxidation, dings & pitting. Handles show chipping, dents & dings. Frog shows overall flaking, crazing & staining. Scabbard shows scattered oxidation, dings & areas turning gray. 3) WW1 DEMAG Crank Handle Fighting knife. Blade marked both "D.R.G.M." & "DEMAG". Scabbard & leather frog present. CONDITION: both blade & crossguard appear cleaned with pitting, oxidation & fading. Handle is an overall dull gray color with pitting & oxidation. Frog shows crazing. Scabbard appears cleaned with heavy pitting. 4) Hitler Youth Knife. Left side of blade marked "RZM/M7/13". Both black grip panels present with party logo. Scabbard & frog also present. CONDITION: blade shows some scratches likely from sharpening, light chipping & oxidation staining. Other metal parts of bayonet show flaking, staining & oxidation. Grip panels show checkering wear & dings. Scabbard shows light wear. 5) German 98/05 Sawback Bayonet. 1916 dated sawback bayonet with Weyersberg maker's marking. Grooved wooden handles. Scabbard present. CONDITION: scabbard & metal parts of bayonet have been cleaned to bright with pitting, oxidization & dings. Handles show chipping, dents & dings. 6) German 98/05 Butcher Blade Bayonet. 1915 dated Alex Coppell bayonet with scabbard. CONDITION: metal parts of bayonet & scabbard are a gray oxidized patina with dents & patches of pitting. Grooved handles show some dings, chips & handling marks. 7) WW2 German S84/98 Bayonet. Blade is coded 43 asw & scabbard is numbered differently. CONDITION: blade appears sharpened with scratches & oxidation. Other metal parts of bayonet & scabbard turning gray with oxidation & edge wear. Grip handles show handling wear. 8) WW1 German Trench Knife. Blade has Gottlieb maker's marking & Imperial crown acceptance stamp. Bright scabbard & leather frog present. CONDITION: metal parts of bayonet & scabbard are bright with light oxidation & some dried grease. Handles show light handling marks. 9) German 1898 N/A Bayonet. 1906 dated VC Schilling 1898 bayonet with leather scabbard. CONDITION: blade is partially bright with scattered oxidation. Other metal parts of bayonet & scabbard are a dull gray patina with oxidation. Handles show dings & handling wear. Scabbard shows crazing & flaking. 10) S84/98 Bayonet. 42 fnj bayonet with mismatched scabbard. CONDITION: blade shows heavy edge wear & fading. Other parts of bayonet & scabbard turning gray with edge wear & oxidation. Handles show some dents & dings. 11) S84/98 Bayonet. 1943 dated blade with indiscernible maker code. Mismatched scabbard & leather frog present. CONDITION: metal parts of bayonet & scabbard are oxidized patina with some pitting. Grip panels show handling wear & staining. Scabbard shows crazing, cracking & staining. 12) WW1 German Ersatz 1916 Bayonet. Handle marked "589". Bayonet otherwise appears unmarked. Scabbard present. CONDITION: bayonet & scabbard show areas turning gray with oxidation, dings, dents & pitting. 13) WW1 German M1916 Ersatz Bayonet with scabbard. Crossguard numbered "3028" possibly by Turks post war. No other markings. Replacement blued scabbard present with brazed repair. CONDITION: bayonet is a gray patina with oxidation & dings. Scabbard shows some dings, dents & oxidation. 14) Norwegian M1957 SLG Bayonet. S84/98 bayonet converted by Norwegians post war for M1 Garand.
