Lot 1572 AUSTRIAN 1854/67 WANZL JAGER SINGLE SHOT RIFLE.

Cal. 14x33 RF. NSN. Bbl. 25 1/2". Blade front sight. Ramped "Banana" rear sight. Lock has Austrian eagle & "860" date for 1860 mfr. Upper tang & breechblock both have boxed markings that appear to read "WERNDL". Rear of bbl. has Austrian eagle & "St68" marking. Metal has a bright appearance. European hardwood stock with left side cheekpiece & bottom mounted sling swivels. Buttplate tang has unit marking that reads "WLVD/5346". UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: Lorenz 1854 bayonet. Bayonet is marked "44 EB". No scabbard present. Bayonet is an overall dull gray patina with oxidation throughout & some pitting. CONDITION: stock set has an older arsenal style oil finish with a couple light chips, scattered dings, scratches & handling marks. Metal has a bright cleaned appearance with scattered oxidation, dings, handling marks, scratches & light pitting. Action functions properly when hand cycled.
