^Lot 1554 GREENER MKIII POLICE SINGLE SHOT SHOTGUN.

Cal. 12-14 Ga. S# 37814. Bbl. 26". Round blade front sight. Fixed rear sight. Martini style shotgun made by WW Greener for Egyptian government. Bbl. has varied British proofs. Blued finish. Walnut stock set with bottom mounted sling swivels & "TOWER OF LONDON" stamping on underside of butt that appears to have been added later. CONDITION: refinished stock set has added varnish with poor fit to frame, a small crack behind action on underside, some light chips, dings & handling marks. Metal retains 40% blue with overall fading to gray, scattered edge wear, oxidation, dings & handling marks. Lever is loose but action functions properly when hand cycled.
