Lot 1533 GERMAN OCCUPATION FABRIQUE NATIONALE HIGH
POWER SEMI-AUTOMATIC PISTOL. Cal. 9mm Luger. S# 142034. Bbl. 4 5/8". High Power semi-automatic pistol mfg. by Fabrique Nationale while under German occupation, circa. January to November of 1942. The left side of the slide is marked "FABRIQUE NATIONALE D'ARMES DE GUERRE/ HERSTAL BELGIQUE/ BROWNING'S PATENT DEPOSE", above an eagle firing proof and Eagle/WaA140 proof, which is also present on the frame. Left side of the bbl. exhibits 2 Eagle/WaA140 proofs. Metal components exhibit what appears to be a professionally reapplied blue finish overall, save for on the, bbl. which is polished in-the-white. Frame is mounted with 2-piece later production 2-piece checkered wood grips. All serialized parts are matching in the "stacked" fashion, and include the frame, slide, and bbl. MAGS: 1 blue 13-rd. mag. with blued split tail floorplate, marked with a faint Eagle/WaA140 proof on the spine. CONDITION: metal components retain the vast majority of their blue finish, exhibiting light to mild edge wear, with scattered spots of light to mild pitting. Bore is bright, exhibiting consistent mild pitting and scattered small spots of dark pitting, while retaining well defined rifling throughout.
