^Lot 1514 WW2 GERMAN K98K (BCD43) BOLT ACTION RIFLE.

Cal. 8x57 (8mm Mauser). S# 9457cc. Bbl. 23 1/2". Standard K98k style sights with front sight hood. All visible parts are matching with many bearing the correct "1" & "e" subcontractor markings. Bbl. is unnumbered but marked "40bcd" with a 749 inspection stamp. Receiver ring has "bcd 43" marking denoting 1943 mfr. by Gustloff. Small locking screws are missing. Blued finish. Laminated stock set with proper "c" marking on underside of butt. Left side sling provisions & K98k style sling marked "D&C" on buckle. Cleaning rod present. CONDITION: stock set shows scattered dings, handling marks, scratches & finish loss. Metal retains 40% original blue with overall fading to gray, scattered edge wear, oxidation & handling marks. Action functions properly when hand cycled. Very good bright bore with some light frosting. (25-6168/MJC). CURIO. $1,000-1,500.
