^Lot 1512 SS CONTRACT (BNZ43) STEYR K98K BOLT ACTION RIFLE.

Cal. 8mm Mauser. S# 6844. Bbl. 23 1/2". Standard K98k style sights with front sight hood. Matching numbers on receiver, rear sight parts, trigger guard, bolt handle & safety. Other visible parts are unnumbered with floorplate bearing a Radom "WaA77" inspection stamp. Receiver ring has "bnz43" marking denoting 1943 production by Steyr. 1943 production SS contract K98k built on Gusen reciever but without rune. Blued finish. Laminated stock set. with left side sling provisions. Handguard is loose & stock maybe duffel cut but bands are too tight to remove. Recoil lug has a poor fit, it is "WaA655" marked & likely replaced. Cleaning rod present. CONDITION: stock shows some moderate gouges on underside, scattered handling marks & some dings. Metal retains 70% original blue with areas on bottom metal showing notable silvering, scattered light oxidation, some improper band removal wear, handling marks & edge wear.
