^Lot 1508 WW2 GERMAN G33/40 BOLT ACTION MOUNTAIN CARBINE.

Cal. 8x57 (8mm Mauser). S# 8772a. Bbl. 19". Blade front sight with added white paint & hood. Tangent rear sight graduated to 1000m. Bolt body is of the correct type but mismatched & rear half of bolt appears to be from a K98k. Stock number is illegible. receiver ring has "dot 1942" markings denoting 1942 mfr. by Waffen Werke Brunn I. Reblued finish. Laminated stock set with left side sling provisions & repro sling. Cleaning rod present that appears to be a replacement. CONDITION: stock set appears sanded with added finish, some dings & handling marks. Metal retains 70% of a dark reblue that shows scattered edge wear, areas turning brown, some oxidation & handling marks. Action functions properly when hand cycled. Bore shows some scattered frosting & pitting but strong rifling. (25-4769/MJC). CURIO. $1,000-1,500.
