^Lot 1505 EARLY WALTHER G43 SEMI AUTO RIFLE.

Cal. 8x57 (8mm Mauser). S# 846b. Bbl. 23 1/4" threaded. Standard G43 sights. Matching numbers on receiver, bolt & stock. Safety assembly not present & unable to check internal components for matching numbers. Early AC44 coded example with "Panel Cut" receiver & threaded muzzle with cover. Laminated stock set with left side sling provisions & K98k style sling. Left side of butt has faint eagle "359" inspection stamps. No cleaning rod present. MAGS: 1-10 rd. marked "aye G43". CONDITION: stock has a darkened appearance with large putty repair to left side of comb, a few laminated cracks on butt, some light chips, a 3 1/2" crack extending from back of action into left of wrist, scattered dings & handling marks. Metal is a silvery-gray color with scattered oxidation, dings, some light pitting & traces of phosphate finish. Action appears to function when hand cycled. Bore has strong rifling with some light pitting & scattered frosting. (25-6174/MJC). CURIO. $2,000-3,000.
