Lot 1495 GERMAN OCCUPATION RADOM VIS.35 SEMI-AUTOMATIC

PISTOL. Cal. 9mm Luger. S# G7941. Bbl. 4 9/16". Vis.35 (German designation: "P35(p)" ) semi-automatic pistol mfg. at the Radom arsenal and assembled by Steyr during German occupation. Left side of the slide is marked "F.B.RADOM VIS Mod.35.Pat.Nr.15567" followed by an eagle firing proof above a Radom Eagle/77 proof (repeated on both sides of the frame) and Steyr Eagle/WaA623 proof . Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall, save for on the bbl., which is polished in-the-white. Frame is mounted with 2-piece checkered brown synthetic "FB" and "VIS" grips. Slide features a finely knurled solid rib with an integral blade front sight and dovetailed V-notch rear sight. All serialized parts are matching and include the frame, grip safety, slide (interior), and bbl. (left side of lug). MAGS: 1 blued 8-rd. with apparent "(K)" proof stamped on the spine. CONDITION: metal components retain the majority of their original arsenal blue finish, exhibiting some light to mild edge wear, some superficial handling marks and scratches, as well as some light surface oxidation overall. Near mirror bore, exhibiting some scattered spots of light pitting, while retaining well defined rifling throughout. Proper manual mechanics, to include the decocker. Interior of slide recoil spring housing is chipped at the rear. Grips show light wear, as well as some scattered superficial marks, with a small chip present on the bottom of the left panel.
