Lot 1491 GERMAN OCCUPATION RADOM VIS.35 SEMI-AUTOMATIC
PISTOL. Cal. 9mm Luger. S# F4065. Bbl. 4 5/8". Vis.35 semi-automatic pistol mfg. by Radom while under German occupation during World War II. The left side of the slide is marked with a Radom Eagle/77 proof, followed by "F.B.RADOM VIS Mod.35.Pat.Nr.15567", an eagle firing proof, as well as a Steyr Eagle/623 proof (indicating final assembly at Steyr). Left and right side of frame exhibit a Radom Eagle/77 proof, with the left side of the bbl. lug exhibiting an Eagle/623 proof. Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall, save for on the bbl., which is polished in-the-white. Frame is mounted with 2-piece smooth wood grips. Slide features a matte rib, with a fixed blade front sight and dovetailed V-notch rear sight. All serialized parts are matching and include the frame, grip safety, slide (interior), and bbl. MAGS: 1 blued 8-rd. mag., marked with a Steyr Warsaw plant Eagle/189 proof on the floorplate. CONDITION: metal components retain the majority of their original arsenal blue finish, exhibiting some light to mild wear and thinning (primarily on edges), scattered superficial handling marks, as well as spots/areas of light to mild surface oxidation overall. Mirror bore, exhibiting some spots of light pitting, while retaining well defined rifling throughout. Grips show scattered superficial handling marks and a few impressions from handling and storage, but otherwise remain sturdy and serviceable. PROVENANCE: The Estate Collection of Charles Wagner.
