Lot 1490 ATTRACTIVE, SLOTTED, HIGH POLISH GERMAN OCCUPATION
RADOM P.35(P) SEMI-AUTOMATIC PISTOL. Cal. 9mm Para. S# A6651. Bbl. 4 5/8". A relatively early production P.35(p) (also known as the "Vis.35") semi-automatic pistol mfg. while under German occupation at the Radom arsenal and assembled at Steyr. The left side of the slide is marked with a Radom Eagle/WaA77 proof (repeated on left side of frame), followed by "F.B.RADOM VIS Mod.35.Pat.Nr.15567.", followed by a German eagle firing proof and Steyr Eagle/623 proof above "P.35(p)". Left side of the bbl. lug exhibits 2 Steyr Eagle/623 proofs. Small Polish arsenal proofs are present in the usual areas. Metal components exhibit a bright polished blue finish overall, save for on the bbl., which is polished in-the-white. Slotted frame is mounted with 2-piece checkered black plastic grips, with "FB" on the left and "VIS" on the right. Butt is fitted with a lanyard staple. Slide features a matte rib, with an integral blade front sight and dovetailed V-notch rear sight. Frame and slide (interior) are matching via the full S#, with the extractor matching via "6651" and the bbl. matching via "651". MAGS: 1 blued 8-rd. marked with an Eagle/169 proof on the underside of the floorplate. CONDITION: metal components retain the majority of their original polished blue finish, exhibiting light to mild edge wear, a few areas of mild wear, a few small spots of light pitting, as well as some superficial handling marks overall. Forward edges on left side of slide exhibit mild to moderate wear to gray patina. Grip straps show mild wear and thinning that is fading to gray patina, as well as some light surface oxidation. Mirror bore, exhibiting a small spot of dark pitting, while retaining well defined rifling throughout. Proper manual mechanics. Grips show light wear, with the left panel exhibiting a repaired break and a few small chips. A nice example of an earlier production P.35(p) pistol. (25-3737/MLW). CURIO. $1,500-2,250.
