^Lot 1486 BAVARIAN MARKED 1883 REICHSREVOVLER SA REVOLVER.

Cal. 11m German Ordnance. S# 371s. Bbl. 4 1/2". Blade front sight. Fixed rear sight. Cyl. appears unnumbered but other visible numbers are matching including both grip panels. Revolver appears to be an undated commercial single action example with "GF" Bavarian marking on left of bbl. Left of bbl. has "VCS & CGH SUHL" markers markings. Grip frame has two Imperial German crown markings but no unit markings. Commercial type blue finish. Checkered walnut grips. Underside of grip has plugged lanyard hole with faded touch up blue. CONDITION: grips show handling wear, checkering point wear & some staining. Metal retains 40% original blue with overall fading to gray, some light oxidation, handling marks, edge & operational wear. Safety not engaging & loading gate appears a bit loose but action is otherwise functional when hand cycled. Bore shows scattered oxidation & frosting but strong rifling. (25-5427/MJC).
