SEMI-AUTOMATIC PISTOL. Cal. 7.65mm. S# 422649. Bbl. 3 3/8". Model 38H semi-automatic pistol mfg. by J.P. Sauer & Sohn for German Police use. Left side of the slide is marked "CAL. 7,65". Left side of the forward trigger guard web is marked with an Eagle/C police proof. Right side of frame, slide, and bbl. exhibit a German Eagle/N commercial nitro proof. Metal components exhibit a salt blue finish overall, save for on the alloy trigger, which exhibits a dull gray appearance. Frame is mounted with 2-piece checkered black synthetic grips. Slide features a grooved matte rib with an integral blade front sight and dovetailed U-notch rear sight. Slide matches the frame via "649". MAGS: 1 8-rd. CONDITION: metal components retain the majority of their original salt blue finish, showing some spots of light to mild wear and thinning, with some light superficial handling marks and spots of surface oxidation overall. Grip straps exhibit wear that has faded to a dull gray patina. Mirror bore, retaining good albeit shallow rifling. Proper manual mechanics to include the decocking lever. Grips show smoothing and some superficial marks from handling and storage, but otherwise remain sound. (25-4249/MLW). CURIO. $600-900.
