Lot 1461 ASSEMBLED DWM MODEL 1920 COMMERCIAL NAVY STYLE

LUGER SEMI-AUTOMATIC PISTOL. Cal. 9x19mm. S# 6311g. Bbl. 5 7/8". Model 1920 Commercial Navy style Luger assembled from assorted WWI and post-war commercial parts. Frame assembly and sideplate of WWI Erfurt mfg. Bbl. extension, breechblock, and forward toggle link of DWM mfg. Bbl. and rear toggle link of WWI mfg. Left side of bbl. extension and breechblock exhibit a Crown/N commercial nitro proof. Toggle is marked with the intertwined "DWM" monogram. Metal components exhibit a rust blue finish overall. Frame is mounted with 2-piece checkered wood grips. Replacement blade front sight with 2-position navy rear sight, modified to U-notch configuration. Bbl. is fitted with a washer at the breech area. Stock lug on frame has been ground down. Matching numbers are present on the frame, takedown lever, sideplate, trigger, safety lever & bar, as well as the hold-open latch. Grips do not match, but match themselves via "50". Mag. is absent. CONDITION: metal components retain large amounts to the majority of their rust blue finish, showing areas of wear and thinning that are fading to gray patina, scattered spots of light to mild surface oxidation, scattered superficial marks and scratches, as well as some marks/impressions from assembly/disassembly. Strawed parts have been cleaned in-the-white, exhibiting scattered spots of light pitting, oxidation, and age related discoloration. Very bright bore, exhibiting light pitting, while retaining strong rifling throughout. Proper manual mechanics. Grips show light wear and some superficial handling marks, but are otherwise sound.
