PISTOL. Cal. 7.65x21mm Parabellum. S# 82001. Bbl. 3 3/4". Model 1923 Commercial Luger semi-automatic pistol mfg. by DWM. Left side of the bbl. extension is marked with a Crown/N commercial nitro proof, which is also present on the underside of the bbl. and left side of the forward toggle link. Toggle is marked with the intertwined "DWM" monogram. Metal components exhibit a reapplied blue finish overall. Frame is mounted with replacement 2-piece checkered wood grips, each stamped with a Mauser acceptance proofs on the interior of the panels. Stock lug has been mostly ground down. Blade front sight and V-notch rear sight. All serialized parts are matching in the "hidden" commercial fashion and include the frame, takedown lever, sideplate, trigger, bbl., breechblock, and rear toggle link. MAGS: 1 8-rd. with unmarked wood plug. CONDITION: metal components retain virtually all of their reapplied blue finish, showing some light superficial handling marks, with some spots of light to mild pitting present beneath the bluing. Bore exhibits consistent dark moderate pitting, while retaining good rifling throughout. Proper manual mechanics. Grips show smoothing and some superficial marks from handling and storage, but otherwise remain sound. Wood mag. plug exhibits several cracks. (25-4650/MLW). CURIO. $700-1,000.
