^Lot 1451 DWM MODEL 1920 COMMERCIAL LUGER SEMI-AUTOMATIC

PISTOL. Cal. 7.65x21mm Parabellum (30 Luger). S# 1274o. Bbl. 3 3/4". Model 1920 Commercial Luger semi-automatic pistol mfg. by DWM from existing surplus and newly mfg. parts & components. Left side of the bbl. extension is marked with a vertical Crown/N commercial nitro proof. Toggle is marked with the intertwined "DWM" monogram, with a horizontal Crown/N proof marked on the left side of the breechblock. Metal components exhibit a rust blue finish overall, save for on some small parts including the takedown lever, trigger, safety lever & ejector, which are strawed (possibly reheated). Frame is mounted with 2-piece checkered wood grips. Standard dovetailed blade front sight and fixed V-notch rear sight. Matching numbers are present on the frame, takedown lever, trigger, bbl., and rear toggle link. Sideplate is a reblued replacement. Rear toggle link is a later Mauser (S#: 26) replacement. MAGS: 1 non-matching (S#: 99) plated 8-rd. with Imperially proofed wood plug. CONDITION: metal components retain the majority of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting some spots/areas of light to mild wear (primarily on edges) and some small spots of light surface oxidation overall. Grip straps exhibit areas of wear and thinning fading to gray patina. Bore exhibits consistent mild to moderate pitting, while retaining strong rifling throughout. Proper manual mechanics. Grips show mild smoothing and some superficial handling marks, with the left panel exhibiting a chip at the usual area, at and to the right of the safety lever. (25-6570/MLW). CURIO. $800-1,200.
