PISTOL WITH CASE. Cal. 7.65x21mm Parabellum. S# 14804. Bbl. 4 3/4". Model 1900 American Eagle Luger semi-automatic pistol mfg. by DWM for commercial sales within the United States. Top of the bbl. extension is marked with the Great Seal of the United States, with the intertwined DWM monogram marked on the toggle. Metal components exhibit an older reapplied blue finish overall, with some small parts exhibiting a reheated straw finish. Frame is mounted with 2-piece checkered wood grips, and features a grip safety. Interior of right grip panel is carved "WPO". Dovetailed blade front sight, with fixed V-notch rear sight. Dished toggles with anti-rebound arm on frame. All serialized parts are matching in the correct "hidden" commercial fashion, and include the frame, takedown lever, sideplate, trigger, grip safety, bbl., bbl. extension, breechblock, toggles, as well as the grips. MAGS: 1 (likely Swiss) plated 8-rd. mag., with brown pressed resin bottom. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: vintage wood display case, featuring a red felt lining. CONDITION: metal components retain large amounts of their reapplied blue finish, exhibiting areas of wear and thinning that show through to gray and brown patinas, scattered superficial handling marks, scattered spots of light to mild surface oxidation, as well as scattered areas with varying degrees of pitting (both above and below the finish) overall. Strawed parts retain large amounts of their finish, exhibiting areas of wear that show through to gray patina. Dark bore, exhibiting consistent dark moderate pitting, while retaining good rifling throughout. Grips show smoothing, as well as scattered marks and impressions from handling and storage.
