^Lot 1411 "PITTSBURG" MARKED KOREAN COPY OF 1911A1 SEMI AUTO

PISTOL BY PUSAN JIN IRON WORKS. Cal. 45 ACP. S# 1604. This pistol appears to have been mfg. by Pusan Jin Iron Works of Pusan (a.k.a. Busan) based on similar examples imported. This pistol marked with "1946" appearing to be date of mfg., which would be before the Republic of Korea being established in August 1948. Left side of slide marked "PITTSBURG / MADE IN U.S.A.". This pistol appears to replicate the US 1911A1 profile & controls using a mix of leftover 1911A1 parts & handmade Korean parts. Assembly no. "04" on 5" bbl., slide, slide stop, plug, bbl. bushing, & trigger. Two piece checkered wood grips. MAGS: 1 - 7 rd. CONDITION: pistol has dark patina appearance overall with corrosion & pitting. Left grip panel has missing piece; both panels shows heavy wear. Poor bore with deep pitting & barely distinguishable rifling. (25-2690/MD). CURIO. $800-1,200.
