PISTOL. Cal. 45 ACP. S# 1255700. Mfg. 1943 within S# range 1,208,674-1,279,673. British Nitro proofs on right side of frame indicates previously shipped to Great Britain as Lend Lease Act aid during World War II. Appears to have most correct era parts with Keyes Fiber grips; replacement 5" Colt Type 6 barrel & commercial spring loaded recoil spring guide. Pistol shows hobbyist alterations including bright polishing to throat & bluing of slide around front sight. MAGS: 1 M.S. Little 7 rd. mag.; has been parkerized refinished. CONDITION: pistol has very good parkerized refinish showing areas of blue finish on slide along with scratches throughout. Very good grips with areas of flattened diamonds. Very good barrel blue & rifling. (25-6544/MD). CURIO. $1,500-2,000.
