^Lot 1389 REMARKABLE, 1943 COLT U.S. ARMY M1911A1 SEMI AUTO

PISTOL. Cal. 45 ACP. S# 885825. Mfg. 1943 within S# range 856,101-958,100. Has all correct parts including Type 6 Colt 5" barrel, matching numbered slide having Type B front sight & Type B U notch rear sight along with Coltwood grips. MAGS: 1 excellent Scovill "C-S" mag. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: WWII parkerized Stanley screwdriver & post WWII "J.A.M. 5564102" cleaning rod. CONDITION: pistol has over 95% original parkerized finish showing light scratches on left side of frame in recess cutout & a few small light scratches under mag. button. Slide shows a few small light marks behind front sight & small light scratches left side slide around rampant Colt. Grips are excellent with a few small light marks on bottoms. Barrel has over 90% original blue finish with light cycling wear. Bright bore with very good rifling. (25-6134/MD). CURIO. $3,500-5,000.
