^Lot 1381 1918 COLT MODEL 1911 U.S. ARMY SEMI AUTO PISTOL.

Cal. 45 ACP. S# 302791. Mfg. 1918 w/in S# range 223,601-580,600. Per, "U.S. Pistols & Revolvers 1909-1945" by J.C. Harrison, this pistol has most correct parts; 5" barrel appears Colt, however is stamped "R" over "P" on top. MAGS: 1 two toned 7 rd.; good blue finish with friction wear & patina spots. CONDITION: approx. 30% original blue on slide with finish fading to gray patina with 1 stain spot on right side along with light scratches. Approx. 50% original blue on frame predominantly under grips with worn finish in handling areas & peppery oxidation in grip panel areas. Barrel has fair original blue with replacement barrel link pin that is loose to lugs; good rifling with some light residue in grooves & wear to lands. (25-5382/MD). CURIO. $1,000-1,500.
