^Lot 1379 SPRINGFIELD ARMORY WWI U.S. ARMY M1911 SEMI AUTO

PISTOL. Cal. 45 ACP. S# 117039. Mfg. 1915 within S# range 113,497-120566. Based on "U.S. Pistols & Revolvers 1909-1945" by J.C. Harrison, appears to have all correct era parts including Springfield 5" barrel & Dbl. diamond walnut grips. All applicable parts are stamped "S" including barrel, hammer, slide stop, safety lock, grip safety, mainspring housing, trigger, magazine catch, extractor, firing pin stop, sear & disconnector. MAGS: 1 Springfield Arsenal 7 rd. mag. w/ lanyard loop. Appears to have been cleaned with heat treatment & dark refinish. CONDITION: pistol has a well done reblued metal finish with light handling marks & scratches throughout. Grips show numerous marks & distorted screws. Bore shows worn rifling with light pitting.
