Cal. 12ga. S# E687540. Bbl. 20" Cyl. bore. Bayonet lug has 4-row handguard. Solid frame action. Right side of forward of ejection port is stamped "U.S." above a flaming ordnance bomb escutcheon. Blue finish. Rnd. grooved slide handle with pistol grip walnut stock having inletted sling swivel. Stock is shortened to 12 5/8" over a reinstalled buttplate. Mfg. in 1919. CONDITION: metal retains 40% dull fading blue showing carry and slide wear. Wood has age darkened worn appearance with numerous scratches, marks, and dents. Stock is broken at head with nail style repair. Functioning action. Bayonet screws are replacements. Bore is generally bright showing small spots of fouling. (25-2683/DS). CURIO. $1,200-1,800.
