Cal. 30-06. S# 1312233. Bbl. 24". Replacement bbl. is marked "HS / flaming bomb / 9-44". Rifle has been assembled to replicate the Model 1903A1 sniper rifle using a receiver manufactured in 1929. It is equipped w/ a Remington made 03A3 bolt which has been electro-penciled to match. The rear sight base is the Remington produced type w/o lightening cuts. Ladder rear sight w/o volley notch graduated to 2,850 yards. Blade front sight. The rifle is equipped w/ a Unertl 12 power 7/8" tube target scope in aluminum Unertl marked mounts. Scope has adjustable objective lens & fine crosshair reticle. Bolt cannot be operated with scope installed as bolt handle will not clear scope. Scope return spring is not present. Handguard has been modified to accept the front scope block w/ professional workmanship. 1903A3 full pistol grip walnut buttstock. Stock w/ two recoil bolts is unmarked, except for "K" in cutoff recess indicating Keystone manufacture. All milled furniture except butt swivel. Fine checkered trap buttplate. CONDITION: stock set has light wear w/ a moderately worn refinish showing scattered handling marks throughout. Metal parts show approx. 70% of their mix of blued & parkerized finishes. Scope retains a large degree of its original blue finish w/ thinning, light wear & scattered tiny handling marks. Very good shiny bore w/ sharp lands. (25-2714/RW). CURIO. $800-1,200.
