Cal. 30-06. S# 4191907. Bbl. 24". Barrel is unmarked. Four groove bore. Rifle has been assembled using an original Remington 1903A3 marked receiver w/ the correct offset serial number. No iron sights are fitted, although the barrel has the correct sight mounting slots. Standard bolt has been modified to clear scope. Rifle equipped w/ reproduction scope base resembling the original 1903A4 type. Scope is marked on the right side "M82G2 / Hi-Lux Optics / SN;01391". Blued steel scope w/ 7/8" tube fitted w/ sliding sun-shield. Scope has very fine post & crosshair reticle. All stamped furniture including fine checkered trap buttplate. Hardwood pistol grip stock marked on left side w/ boxed "FJA", "crossed cannons" & encircled "P" proof. Walnut handguard. Brown leather military style sling. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: detachable plastic lens covers. CONDITION: stock set has nice appearance w/ only light wear & small scattered handling marks. Notable chipping of finish on both sides of buttplate tang. Metal is a mix of grey & black arsenal rework parkerization w/ only light hi-point wear. Bright shiny bore w/ sharp lands. (25-4721/RW).
