CONVERSION. Cal. 30-06. S# 1503247. Bbl. shortened to 17 3/8", converted to 308 Win. Barrel is marked on right side "3 S A 11 44". Receiver shows evidence of welds in the right and left rails and is likely assembled from de-milled parts. Receiver has been given a BM59 style conversion to hold a U.S. M14 magazine. The trigger housing assembly has been likewise modified w/ a magazine catch. Trigger housing & hammer marked "WRA". Beretta style safety. Milled trigger guard. Locking bar aperture rear sight. Blade front sight w/ protective ears. Operating rod has been modified & shortened marked "WRA" w/ safety cut. Clip latch has been replaced by a "PB" marked hold-open & receiver modified to accept this part. Hardwood stock set. Buttstock is unmarked w/ standard trap buttplate. Walnut handguard. Milled barrel band secured by Cotter pin. Stacking swivel is not present. MAGS: 1 unmarked 20 round detachable. CONDITION: refinished stock has light wear, scratches & handling marks. Receiver has been heavily polished & blued. Bolt has original wartime parkerized finish. Very good shiny two groove bore. (25-2936/RW). MODERN. $800-1,200.
