GARAND SEMI-AUTO MILITARY RIFLE. Cal. 7.62x51. S# 2044972. Bbl. 19" including muzzle brake. No visible import mark. Bbl. is marked only on right side w/ "7.62MM". Bolt marked "HRA" & electro-penciled "7.62 BM-59". Rifle is a conversion by Beretta in Italy of a US M1 Garand rifle to 7.62 NATO. Conversion entailed fitting a new bbl. T105E1 type rear sight. Blade front sight w/ protective ears. Operating rod is marked "SA" & additionally marked on the outside "PB BM-59". Muzzle brake & gas cyl. lock is solid assembly (not tri-compensator). Bipod is fitted. Trigger housing marked "PB BM-59". Walnut stock set with side folding buttstock and separate pistol grip. Side mounted sling swivels. MAGS: one 20 rd. Marked "BM 59". CONDITION: stock set has light wear and scattered handling marks. Metal retains 80% of its original Beretta finish with thinning and light wear. Very good shiny bore. (25-2872/RW).
