AUTO MILITARY RIFLE. Cal. 30-06. S# 2791195. Bbl. 24". Marked on right side "2 S A 5 44". Throat gauges: 2.0. Muzzle gauges: 5.5. T105E1 aperture rear sight. Blade front sight w/ protective ears. All major parts markings are "SA". Milled trigger guard. Walnut stock set. Buttstock has the round recess at the end of the grip for the Danish marking disc. Belly of stock has rifle serial number. Tag glued inside barrel channel is marked "FKAF" & is dated "7/1/63". Tag includes 300 meter sight settings. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: hang-tag lettered w/ blue marker "SA / RACK / MUZ / D". Also included is the CMP owner's manual, green web sling, 8 rd. clip, open chamber indicator & padded cardboard shipping box. CONDITION: stock set shows extensive wear, staining & handling marks throughout. Notable loss of wood in toe area & large missing chip at end of pistol grip. Metal has extensive wear & loss of finish, turning overall gray except the dark gas cylinder. Bore has light frosting in the grooves w/ moderately worn lands, retaining a moderate degree of shine.
