Cal. 30-06. S# 5390850. Bbl. 24". Barrel is marked on the right side "SA 4 64". Throat gauges 5.0. Muzzle gauges 1.0. T105E1 rear sight with standard aperture. Blade front sight with protective ears. Receiver is marked with electro-pencil on right front leg "SA / 5-EU". All major parts markings are "SA". Stamped trigger guard. Gas cylinder is stamped "NM" behind sling swivel at bottom. High hump gas cylinder lock. Cross slot gas cylinder lock screw. Stacking swivel has been fixed tightly in forward position. Walnut stock set. Stock has been refinished with added finish, leaving the markings faint, but visible. The action area has been bedded with synthetic material showing hobbyist gunsmith workmanship. Front handguard has been attached to barrel band with screws. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: receipt showing purchase of this rifle by the Appleton Wisconsin Pistol and Rifle Club. CONDITION: stock set has moderate wear and handling marks over its added finish. Metal retains 90% of its lightly worn original parkerization.
