Lot 1343 U.S. WWII ERA SPRINGFIELD M1 GARAND SEMI-AUTO

MILITARY RIFLE. Cal. 30-06. S# 3578760. Bbl. 24". Throat gauges: 3.0. Muzzle gauges: 2.0. Barrel markings on right side include "SA-F65354483 54A21?B" & defense acceptance eagle. Barrel is stamped on left side near front sight "NM". Rifle is assembled using a National Match marked operating rod, rear sight aperture & movable base. The gas cylinder lock & windage knobs are marked "M". T105E1 rear sight. Blade front sight w/ protective ears is unmarked. Operating rod is marked "RA". All further visible parts markings are "SA". Milled trigger guard. Walnut stock set. Buttstock has faint boxed "SA" over "GAW" & "crossed cannons". Partial encircled "P" proof under grip. Bedding has been adjusted by the addition of brown synthetic compound in action area. Rear handguard butts the receiver ring solidly. Front handguard has two screws attaching it to the barrel band. Brown leather sling is unmarked & in a well-worn condition. CONDITION: stock set has arsenal rework finish showing scattered very light sanding marks & notable loss of wood in inletted areas, particularly around buttplate. Metal retains 80% of its original lightly worn parkerized finish. Good shiny bore w/ lightly worn lands. (25-3075/RW). CURIO. $1,000-1,500.
