Barrel is marked on right side behind front sight w/ British export proofs. Receiver has been assembled using demilitarized parts. The rear portion of the receiver is marked "WINCHESTER" & the front portion is marked "B 1 5A / 'diamond' / D 28291 30" which was produced by Springfield. The receiver shows faint welded seams on both sides behind the front legs. T105 aperture rear sight, elevation knob marked "HRA". Blade front sight w/ protective ears. High hump gas cylinder lock. Bolt is marked "WRA". Operating rod, trigger housing & safety marked "SA". Stamped trigger guard. Walnut rear handguard. Front handguard & buttstock are hardwood replacements. Buttstock marked on left side w/ defense acceptance eagle & "US". Encircled "P" proof under grip. Buttstock marked on right side below comb "AA / U.S. / 60998". CONDITION: stock set has moderate wear, staining & handling marks on the replacement parts. The rear handguard appears to be in very good original condition. Metal retains 80% of its arsenal rework refinish w/ spots of missing finish. Bore has lightly worn lands & appearance of frosting in grooves. (25-1391/RW). CURIO. $800-1,000.
