Cal. 30 Carbine. S# 6653156. Bbl. 18". Barrel marked behind front sight "UNDERWOOD / 4-44 / flaming bomb". Milled & adjustable rear sight marked "PI". Blade front sight w/ protective ears. Sight base marked "N". Barrel band w/ bayonet lug marked "AI". Six o'clock slide marked "PI". Browned "AI" marked bolt. Milled trigger guard w/ push button safety marked "INLAND". Straight cut hammer marked "HI". Walnut pot belly stock. Oval cut low wood marked "IO" in sling slot & has partial "crossed cannons" on right side of butt. Four rivet handguard marked "IO". Green web sling. MAGS: 1 detachable 15 round blued steel magazine marked w/ "IU". UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: cardboard shipping box from Letterkenny Army Depot dated "10/10/63" containing protective wrapping. Serial number on box does not match gun. Shipping box has extensive wear, tears & staining. Some markings are not legible. CONDITION: stock set has light wear & handling marks. Finish appears original. Receiver has black arsenal rework parkerization w/ light wear. Barrel has notably thin original parkerized finish. Balance of parts have mix of original blue & parkerized finishes. Very good shiny bore w/ sharp lands. (25-4398/RW). CURIO. $600-1,000.
