Cal. 30 Carbine. S# 5335924. Bbl. 18". Barrel marked "INLAND MFG. DIV. / GENERAL MOTORS / 7-44". Stamped adjustable aperture rear sight marked "I.R. CO.". Blade front sight w/ protective ears. Wide barrel band w/ wire type swivel is unmarked. Six o'clock slide marked "PI". Round "IO" marked bolt. Machined trigger guard w/ push button safety marked "INLAND". Mag. catch is marked "E.I.". Straight cut hammer marked "H". Walnut stock set. Correct walnut stock marked on left rear w/ boxed "RIA / EB" Rock Island overhaul mark. Encircled "P" proof on top left of pistol grip. Small crossed cannons on lower right side of pistol grip. Faint crossed cannons at end of grip. Correct folding stock including buttplate & brown leather cheek pad w/ correct steel rivets. Four rivet handguard marked "LW". MAGS: 1 detachable 15 round blued steel magazine marked "RUGG". CONDITION: stock set has moderate wear, staining & handling marks. Stock has crack extending from the recoil plate area to the cutout for the cheek pad on the left side. Crack has been partially repaired w/ a brass pin inserted in top. Metal retains 80% of its arsenal rework finish w/ light wear. Very good shiny bore w/ sharp lands. (25-6128/RW). CURIO. $3,000-5,000.
