SEMI-AUTOMATIC RIFLE WITH SCOPE. Cal. 7.62x51mm. S# 20421. Bbl. 20". AMT semi-automatic rifle mfg. in Switzerland by SIG and imported by Tysons Corner. A commercial derivative of SIG's SG 510-4 battle rifle, the SG 510-07 T / AMT series of rifles was imported in small quantities into the U.S. during the 1960s-1970s, with the designation "AMT" (American Match Target) used after 1969. This example is marked "SIG-AMT" above the S# over the top of the receiver. Left side of the trigger housing is marked with the S# above "SIGARMS INC./ Tysons Corner. VA/ Made in Switzerland". Top of stock socket is marked with the S# above "SIG" within an oval. Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall, save for on the ventilated alloy bbl. shroud, which exhibits a black anodized finish. 1-piece plain wood handguard and buttstock, with grooved black synthetic pistol grip. Post front sight and adj. peep rear sight graduated 100-600. Receiver is fitted with a proprietary parkerized steel scope mount featuring a 3-9x40mm Oakshore Electronic Sights Inc. scope. "T" shaped charging handle with folding winter trigger and folding bipod. Matching numbers are present on the receiver, trigger housing, stock socket, bolt assembly, as well as the bbl. shroud. Mag. is absent. CONDITION: metal components retain the vast majority of their original factory blue finish, showing few spots of light wear, with some light superficial handling marks present overall. Bore exhibits consistent mild to moderate pitting, while retaining strong rifling throughout. Proper manual mechanics to include the winter trigger. Wood furniture shows some scattered superficial handling marks and minor impressions, with the forearm exhibiting a line from the bipod feet in the usual areas along the sides and bottom.
