RIFLE. Cal. 308. S# 134289. Bbl. 20 3/4" (22 1/2" with faux brake). R1A1 receiver mfg. in Brazil by Imbel and imported by Century Arms. Left side of the receiver is marked "R1A1 Sporter" above Imbel's mfg. and Century Arms' importer information. Bolt carrier and bolt exhibit Belgian proofing. Metal components exhibit a phosphate finish overall, save for on the surplus lower assembly and some small parts which are blued. 2-piece grooved black synthetic ventilated handguard with ribbed black synthetic carry handle, as well as a plain black synthetic pistol grip and buttstock. Standard FAL pattern post front sight and aperture rear sight graduated 2-6. Mag. is absent. CONDITION: phosphate finished parts are very good overall, exhibiting some light edge wear and some superficial handling marks. Surplus receiver exhibits areas of wear that are fading to gray patina. Mirror bore, retaining well defined rifling throughout. Black synthetic furniture shows some scattered handling marks, but otherwise remains sound. (25-3916/MLW). MODERN. $800-1,200.
