Cal. 308. S# CA01931. Bbl. 24 1/2" (with flash hider). R1A1 Sporter semi-automatic rifle mfg. by Century Arms from an Australian L1A1 parts kit on a Century Arms upper receiver. Right side of the upper receiver is marked with Century Arms' mfg. information, the model and cal. designations, as well as the S#. Left side of lower assembly is marked with 2 Australian proofs, with the Australian S# "AD6109613" marked on the right. Australian parts exhibit a blue finish, with the Century Arms' receiver exhibiting a phosphate finish. "1961" dated 2-piece ventilated wood handguard, with grooved wood carry handle, plain wood pistol grip, and buttstock featuring a zinc trapdoor buttplate. Standard FAL pattern post front sight and flip-up aperture rear sight on sliding base graduated 3-6. Bolt carrier exhibits lightening cuts and Australian proofing. Matching numbers are present on the lower assembly, bolt carrier, and bolt. Mag. is absent. CONDITION: receiver is very good to excellent, showing some scattered superficial handling marks. Lower assembly, receiver cover, and bbl. exhibit areas of wear and thinning that are fading to gray patina. Mirror bore, retaining sharp and well defined rifling throughout. Wood furniture shows scattered marks and impressions from handling and storage, but otherwise remains sound. (25-2755/MLW). MODERN. $1,200-1,800.
