One of a limited number of FAL .308 Match 50.00 semi-automatic rifles mfg. in Belgium by Fabrique Nationale that were imported into the United States prior to discontinuation by FN. The left side of the Type III milled receiver is marked ".308 MATCH", with "FABRIQUE NATIONALE HERSTAL/ MADE IN BELGIUM/ GUN SOUTH INC. BIRMINGHAM, AL." followed by the S# "2500917" marked on the right. The selector on the left side of the lower is marked "S" and "R", with no notch cut for a third position. Receiver, lower assembly, front sight / gas tube assembly, forearm hardware, bipod, and bbl. exhibit a black enamel type finish, with the long pattern flash hider and rear sight exhibiting a phosphate finish. 2-piece brown synthetic ventilated handguard, with plain black synthetic charging handle, carry handle, pistol grip, and fixed buttstock. Standard FAL pattern post front sight and sliding aperture rear sight with base graduated 2-6. Belgian proofed bolt and bolt carrier match the receiver via "00917". MAGS: x1 blued steel mag. and x1 black enamel finished steel mag. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: matte black finished aluminum optic rail. CONDITION: metal components retain the vast majority of their original factory finishes, exhibiting some superficial handling marks as well as some small spots of light wear overall. Brilliant mirror bore, exhibiting sharp and well defined rifling throughout. Proper manual mechanics. Synthetic furniture shows some superficial marks from handling and storage, but otherwise remains very good overall.
