SEMI-AUTOMATIC RIFLE. Cal. 7.62x39mm. S# PW85-762-5264. Bbl. 16 1/4". AKS-762 semi-automatic rifle mfg. in China at Factory 416 for Polytech and imported by KFS. Left side of the trunnion is marked with Factory 416's "416" within a triangle insignia, followed by the S#. Left side of the receiver is marked with the model and cal. designations, as well as Polytech's mfg. information, with KFS' importer information marked on the underside ahead of the mag. well. Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall, save for on the bolt assembly, which is polished in-the-white, exhibiting a brown tinged appearance. Plain wood forearm, handguard, pistol grip, and buttstock with steel trapdoor buttplate. AK pattern post front sight with tangent V-notch rear sight marked "D" (lowest position) and graduated "1-8". Chrome lined bore with threaded muzzle, muzzle cover, and spike pattern folding bayonet. Cleaning rod and trapdoor cleaning kit are present. All serialized parts are matching and include the receiver (trunnion), bolt carrier, bolt, and gas cyl. tube. MAGS: 1 blued Chinese 30-rd. CONDITION: metal components retain the vast majority of their original factory blue finish, showing some scattered superficial handling marks and light scratches, as well as a few small spots of light surface oxidation. Underside of bayonet lug exhibits a small spot of light pitting. Brilliant mirror chrome lined bore, retaining well defined rifling throughout. Proper manual mechanics. Wood furniture shows some scattered marks and impressions from handling and storage, but otherwise remains sound. (25-2289/MLW). MODERN. $1,200-2,000.
