BULLPUP RIFLE WITH MATCHING FACTORY BOX. Cal. 7.62x39mm. S# A000149. Bbl. 16 1/4". 1 of approx. less than 2,000 Type 86S semi-automatic bullpup rifles mfg. in China at Factory 56 for Norinco that were imported into the U.S. prior to the Assault Weapons Control Act of 1989. The left side of the trunnion is marked with Factory 56's "56" within a triangle insignia, followed by the S#. Left side of the receiver is marked "86S/ 7.62X39MM/ MADE IN CHINA/ BY NORINCO/ CSA.LA.CA.USA". Receiver, bolt carrier, bolt, carry handle, bbl., and stock exhibit a blue finish, with the forward assembly exhibiting a matte blue finish. Black synthetic folding foregrip and grooved brown synthetic pistol grip, with fixed steel skeleton stock. Post front sight with peep rear sight. Chrome lined bbl. with ported "duck-bill" style flash hider and bayonet lug. Distinctive vertical charging handle. All serialized parts are matching and include the receiver (on trunnion), receiver cover, mainspring guide rod, bolt carrier, bolt, as well as the forward assembly (underside). MAGS: 3 Chinese blued steel 10-rd. mags. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: matching factory box containing green plastic oiler bottle. CONDITION: excellent, with metal components retaining the vast majority of their original factory finishes, exhibiting some scattered superficial handling marks and scratches, with a few scattered spots of light surface oxidation present overall. Brilliant mirror chrome lined bore, retaining well defined rifling throughout. Proper manual mechanics. Synthetic furniture shows some superficial handling marks, but otherwise remains very good overall. Box shows some mild exterior wear, but otherwise remains sound.
