SEMI-AUTOMATIC RIFLE. Cal. 223. S# 155951. Bbl. 16 1/4". M76/FS semi-automatic rifle mfg. in Finland by Valmet and imported by Interarms. The left side of the stamped receiver is marked with the S#, followed by markings stipulating the model and cal. designations above Interarms' importer information, with the Valmet logo above "Made in Finland" marked on the right. Metal components exhibit a phosphate finish overall, with some pins being blued. Bolt appears to be polished in-the-white or chrome plated. 2-piece checkered black synthetic ventilated forearm with 1-piece impress checkered black synthetic pistol grip. Tubular steel side-folding buttstock with black synthetic exterior on tube. Hooded post front sight with flip-up night post and tangent peep rear sight graduated 1.5-6. Tri-prong flash hider with integrally machined bayonet lug. All serialized parts are matching and include the receiver and rear sight base, with remaining parts/components being unnumbered. MAGS: 1 desirable blued steel 3-weld 30-rd. mag. CONDITION: metal components retain the vast majority of their original factory phosphate finish, showing some superficial handling marks and scratches, with a couple of spots of wear present on the left side of the receiver that appear to have smoothed the finish. Near mirror bore, exhibiting a few spots of what appears to be light pitting, while retaining well defined rifling throughout. Proper manual mechanics. Black synthetic furniture and stock tube wrap exhibit some superficial handling marks, but otherwise remain sound. A nice example of an always desirable Valmet M76/FS rifle. (25-2343/MLW).
