Lot 1216 WISE LITE ARMS POLISH DP-28 SEMI-AUTOMATIC RIFLE.
Cal. 7.62x54R. S# DP318. Bbl. 23 3/4". Originally mfg. as a DP-28 machine gun in Poland by Radom during the 1950s, this example was subsequently cut, imported, and reconfigured from a parts kit into a semi-automatic rifle for commercial sales by Wise Lite Arms. Right side of the receiver is engraved "DP-28/ SEMI AUTO/ CAL 7.62 X 54R/ WISE LITE ARMS/ BOYD TX.". Top rear section of the receiver is marked with Radom's "11" within an oval insignia, above a partially legible year of mfg. "195x" and the S#. Metal components exhibit a reapplied blue finish overall. Distinctive DP-28 contour plain wood buttstock with threaded oiler on comb. Open top post front sight with tangent square notch rear sight graduated 1-15. Integral ventilated handguard is fitted with an original bipod. Matching numbers are present on the receiver and lower assembly. Underside of bolt carrier has been numbered "318" to match. Mag. is absent. CONDITION: near excellent, with metal components retaining the vast majority of their reapplied blue finish, exhibiting some superficial handling marks and scratches, with a couple of patches of light to mild surface oxidation and pitting present on the underside of the bbl. Mirror bore, retaining well defined rifling throughout. Proper manual mechanics. Stock shows some scattered superficial handling marks, scratches, and impressions, but otherwise remains sound. An attractive example of a Wise Lite DP-28 semi-automatic rifle. (25-2300/MLW). MODERN. $3,000-4,000.
