^Lot 1212 DESIRABLE PARKER-HALE M82 BOLT ACTION RIFLE.

Cal. 7.62x51mm. S# 02064C. Bbl. 26". M82 bolt action rifle mfg. in England by Parker-Hale. Top of the receiver is marked "PARKER-HALE LTD. BIRMINGHAM ENGLAND", with the S# marked on the left side of the chamber. Left side of the bbl. is marked with a single British crown over "BNP" nitro proof. Metal components exhibit a parkerized finish overall, save for on the trigger, which exhibits a gold colored finish, as well as the rear sight assembly, which is blued. 1-piece plain wood beavertail pistol grip stock features a hand stop and hand stop rail on the underside of the forearm, as well as an unmarked brown rubber recoil pad. Right side of stock wrist is inletted for a sliding safety lever, which is absent. Stock appears to have been lightly sanded and refinished. Globe front sight with flip-up ladder aperture rear sight graduated 2-13. Top of the receiver is drilled, tapped, and grooved for scope mount attachment. MAGS: 1 blued and black enamel finished steel 4-rd. Right side of mag. is marked "PARKER-HALE ENGLAND/ PART No 98/223/ CAL 30/06&270". CONDITION: metal components retain the vast majority of their original parkerized finish, showing some light superficial handling marks, as well as some scattered spots of light surface oxidation and pitting (predominately on the bbl.). Bore is bright, exhibiting scattered patches of mild to moderate pitting, while retaining strong rifling throughout. Proper manual mechanics. Stock shows few minor superficial marks from handling and storage, but otherwise remains very good overall. PROVENANCE: From the Buckstix Collection. (25-6409/MLW). MODERN. $1,200-1,800.
