This piece stands 30 inches tall and stretches 30 inches wide, The bear is carved into the full sweep of a large moose antler and salmon is carved into a smaller antler. It shows a bear mid-river, reaching for a salmon, With flow and splash of the water washing over the rocks and a beautiful Yew wood slab base. It's all caught in a quiet moment that still holds weight. The idea was to keep the motion subtle and the carving clean, letting the texture and color of the antler do part of the work.
