Lot 8 Roosevelt Sable - Mashambanzou Safaris
This is a 7-Day, 1x1 safari with one observer included for Roosevelt Sable in the Niassa Game Reserve in Northern Mozambique. The donation includes day rates for both hunter and observer for 7 days as well as trophy fee for one Roosevelt Sable bull (no size limits).
Hunt can be extended and upgraded to include buffalo and other plains game species (If upgrading to buffalo a minimum of 10 days will be required). Please note the hunt needs to be conducted during available dates between July 1 and November 30, 2026 and is not transferable to 2027 and beyond. Additional hunters are welcome at regular rates. Clients will fly into Pemba, Mozambique from Johannesburg and charter directly to the safari camp the same day. No drive option as the area is incredibly wild and remote. NOTE: SCI requires all sable to be DNA tested out of the Niassa Reserve to be eligible for the record books. This can be arranged for $300 per DNA test. All sable we have tested out of the Reserve have come back as confirmed 100% Roosevelt Sable.
Excludes: Air charter from Pemba and back to Pemba $6000 round trip for Cessna 206 (max 4 pax); Hunting License - $350; Gun Import Permit - $250 per rifle (or barrel in the case of Blasers); Trophy transport permit - $300
