The lucky winning bidder get to hunt black bear or bobcat with long-time donor and Chapter supporter, Dan Kirschner of Wild Spirit Guide Service. Wild Spirit has been guiding for over 35 years in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and look forward to many more seasons to come. This 2x1 hunt will take place in Upper Michigan’s bear management units. Cost for extra guide is $400 per day. Hunt can be used in September or October for bear and Bobcat hunt would take place in January or February. Years to be discussed with outfitter. Due to the application process, it will take 2 years of applying before success. Please contact the outfitter on instructions for applying for permits. IMPORTANT NOTE: Non-residents are eligible for bear tags and will take longer to draw a tag so outfitter will make additional arrangements. Non-residents cannot Bobcat hunt in Michigan. Hunt will be conducted with hounds and weapon of choice (bow, rifle, muzzleloader, handgun). Hunt is for 3 days and does not include food/accommodations, but Dan will assist hunter in arranging a hotel or cabin rental. Upon winning this item, be sure to promptly call Dan to discuss further. Dan says this is the highest bear population we’ve had in our history and the hunting has never been better. Many Chapter members have hunted with Dan and guarantee that you will have a great and exciting time with him. Bear point / draw period is May 1st thru May 30th.
