^Lot 24 Quail Painting - Peter Blackwell

Mr. Blackwell’s art has been a highlight of our auction for many years, and this year is no exception. Last year he donated a piece that featured scaled quail (“Blues” as they are known to us in West Texas) on an old, retired Midland Map Company leasehold map. This year he has donated a complimentary piece that features Bobwhite Quail on a Texas General Land Office Map of Andrews County. Peter has carefully embellished the Bobwhite taking flight while allowing the details of this 42.5” X 54” map to show through the artwork.
