•This is a fully donated 38” x 46” framed original oil painting on canvas by
famed wildlife artist Cynthie Fisher.
•Cynthie describes the colorful piece this way: “This original oil depicts an enormous
Marco Polo ram standing tall and proud next to a lovely smaller ram, showing that he
is the king of this hill.”
•A longtime supporter of GSCO, Cynthie is a well-known wildlife artist, specializing in
rare and elusive species like argalis. She has traveled to Tajikistan twice, harvesting
a 60” ram on her latest trip, always learning and getting inspired by her surroundings.
•She has hunted on almost every continent, amassing an impressive number of trophies,
as well as invaluable references for her artwork. Cynthie has been a professional artist
for over 35 years, and has added sculpture, glass mosaics and mixed media
sculpting to her repertoire.
•Cynthie’s list of artistic accomplishments includes 19 Duck Stamp awards, many times
featured artist for the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation and Ducks Unlimited,
cover artist for SCI, and many others. She’s a life member of GSCO, WSF, DU
and RMEF. Her artwork has raised many thousands of dollars for conservation. She
is a board member of the Society of Animal Artists, and currently makes her home
in Hamilton, Montana.
